ONA on the lawns, Manuka ACT

5:37 pm Posted by Unknown No comments

Manuka has long been the in spot for coffee's, in fact Manuka could have very well been the birth place of the coffee scene in Canberra so it's only natural you would find a super cool cafe, serving perfect coffee right in the heart of it!

It goes without saying, anywhere the Hounds fall in love with will have something pretty special in the location, it's not just about the caffeine, but the vibe, styling and atmosphere all go into each cup of coffee and add to the experience. ONA on the lawns is no exception! Sitting in the centre of the main shopping area, it, as the name suggests,  sits pretty, beneath the shade of aged tree's, on those beautiful old uneven pavers and along side the lush grass gardens.

It has the coolest coffee machine around, painted in graffiti, the bright colours perfectly meshing into old world charm of art deco styled tiles and a mix of modern industrial. This place is just cool.
Their main point of sale butting up to the sidewalk makes if perfect for a quick take away order, without having to navigate through a chair filled cafe.

ONA hits the mark selling not only the perfect Brew but fresh Cold Pressed Juices and food that will leave you eager to return.

Add this one to your list of must visit cafe's because this uber cool venue gets a perfect score from the Brew Hounds!

Fox and Bow Cafe, Farrer

Not so long ago, most of Canberra's little local shops were…well, pretty 'uncool'.

Traditionally… and I'm talking 1980's to early 2000's they may have had a Bakery, a Newsagent and a Corner store and really only got love when you needed the Saturday paper or bread and milk.

That is all changing and changing for the absolute better. Slowly but surely they are coming of age, passing those awkward teenage years and blooming into little hives of activity, with Grocers who's shelves are stacked with organic and local produce and best of all trendy cafe's!

It is about time good food was brought to our beautiful little burbs and boy are we going to embrace it!

Fox and Bow Cafe is leading the charge to fill the bellies of Canberrans with their incredible offerings and a passion that will bring joy to your foodie soul. If you don't feel the love that has gone into this cafe then you are clearly at the wrong place.

Alex and his amazing team are providing the most beautiful food but most importantly coffee akin to liquid gold….. well edible liquid gold… ok it's pure heaven.

Tucked into Farrer shops, with a funky custom mural on the alley wall beside it and modern decor it has a great vibe and with Owner, Alex joyfully buzzing about, you can see this is his heart and soul, all bundled up into pretty wooden tables and crisp metal stools, it is evident in each and every crumb of food on those beautiful white plates.

Fox and Bow definitely gets a major thumbs up from Brewhound, for perfect coffee and  if you love your food just as much then never fear, the menu at Fox and Bow is as perfect, their quirky meal names will leave you wanting to read the entire menu as if it were a great book.
Sit back, relax and you will most definitely enjoy.

You can check out their awesome menu HERE but be sure to call past next time you are hunting for the perfect brew.

Visit Fox and Bow at 4 Farrer Place, Farrer ACT 2607 or call them on 0422 108 713

Enjoy!
